Conspiracy Theory of the Day

Conspiracy Theory of the Day

This was a bit of a surprise. My flickr friend Jim and I were on our way to the Cultural Centre in Handen on Sunday where we were going to grab a cup of coffee. As we closed in on the mall we saw this guy with his sign. Jim spotted him first and said something like what the f**k is this. I stopped the guy and quickly asked if I could take a photo and he said sure, no problem. We didn't stop and talk to him, but he said he was on his way to Stockholm and a big demonstration. When I came home I looked it up on the web and it was two different groups that were demonstrating at Sergels Torg. One against the regime in Iran, and the other against the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem. Not sure where this guy fits in!

I also believe 9/11 was an inside job and I really don't think this theory is weird at all. What I *do* find weird is a Swedish guy attending a rally in Sweden but holding an English language sign!

Interesting to say the least. I wish you'd had the chance to interview him. Oh well, one of those photos that leaves you wondering.

I don't know if it does exist in English, but an old Italian proverb says: “the mother of fools is always pregnant”.

I think this guy could be from Palestinian descent. The reason for the sign being in English is probably because the demonstrators were people from different countries.

Never heard that saying before Mr. Poet.

Does that sign on the house behind him have a deeper meaning?

I guess he was with the anti-Israeli lot.

Interesting.

Somebody should tell him Elvis is still alive, too.

The Drop-In sign is for a tanning place.

I'm guessing that if I had asked him a few questions he would probably still be talking...

Well, it certainly is an arresting sign. We all may think this is an aberration but it's not at all kind to the families of victims. Compassion and empathy has been lost in the 21st Century in too many areas.

Maybe he is suggesting one of the two groups you mentioned were "the inside job."

I invite you to stop and look at my Canon camera photographs. They are some of the best I can or have taken. My Canon Blog
