Grey Heron

Grey Heron

Grey Heron taking off

On a visit to Lake Rudan today I managed to take a few photos of a Grey Heron, or Gråhäger as we call them. A wading bird that can be seen in Europe and Asia. It's a big bird. One meter tall with a wingspan of two meters. It can weigh up to two kilo.

According to our poet the heron was a square animal compared to a fox. The more I see herons, the less I think so. A better approach was to compare it to our last french prime Minister de Villepin.
