1956 Citroën

I stopped at Solakullen in Tungelsta, for a chat with the owner, Gunnar, and decided to take a few photos of one of his cars. He has a garage where he repair French cars. This is one on Gunnar's cars. A 1956 Citroën Berline 11 Sport.

Sunny Hill

Another photo from Solakullen (The Sunny Hill),in Tungelsta. And no, you are not looking at a snowed-in couch on the roof, but a snow covered balcony railing in the form of the rising sun! And as you obviously don't believe me I promise to go back in the spring for an updated snow free version.

The old Hotel

If you had arrived to Tungelsta on business, from Stockholm or Nynäshamn, perhaps by the steam train, sometime during the 1920s and 1930s, this would have been where you stayed. Back then it was known as Dahlin's Pensionat (hotel). Operated by Emil Dahlin and his wife Jenny Magnusson. I don't know if Herbert Tingsten ever stayed at the hotel, but he did marry their daughter Gerd. On arrival you would have seen the hotel from the train as it's located close to the railway track. Today it's a private home.
