Winter Candids

Three candid Winter snaps from Tungelsta. Lots of 4-wheelers out on the roads this time of the year, especially on weekends. You don't see too many cyclists but they are out there as are the joggers.

Juliet

We have had a few warm Summer days recently. Juliet was out jogging when I noticed her in Handen on one of those days. She might take part in the Stockholm Midnight Race, later in the Summer. Possibly together with her Romeo.

The Firefighter

This was a different encounter. As I was shooting a couple of portraits of Fredrik, this woman ran past us. A few minutes later I caught up with her and from my bike I asked her if I could take a portrait and ask a few questions. Sure, as long as I can keep running was the answer! So I started asking my questions on the fly. This is Nina from Tungelsta. She was out on a 20 kilometre run in preparation for her first Marathon, the Stockholm Marathon. As you can see she is super fit. Nina works as a personal trainer at S.A.T.S gym in Handen, but she recently passed the fire-fighter entrance exam and is currently in a very tough seven week programme in her fire-fighter training. After our chat I then had to leave Nina behind me so to speak as I needed to jump off the bike and snap a few quick shots before she ran past me again!

The Smiling Accountant

I spotted a pretty girl out jogging in Jordbro a while back, so I decided to interrupt her exercise for a quick portrait and a few questions. And as you can see, that worked out just as I hoped. This is Lisa. She is an accountant. Working for a big company, although she didn't want to specify which one. She lives at Telefonplan in Stockholm. Lisa jogs to stay fit (and it looks like it is working), and she is also a frequent visitor to the gym. And she's got a great smile!

The Smiling Jogger :)

We really enjoy the outdoors in this country. Jogging and running are popular ways to stay fit. On my way home the other day I met a smiling jogger at Krigslida and figured she would be up for a portrait. This is Tina. She lives in Tungelsta. She was very happy about the arrival of spring, as you can tell by her big smile. Tina works as a medical orderly at Stockholm South General Hospital. We talked a bit about spring and photography and then I snapped a few shots before Tina jogged away.
