Location, location, location

Location,location,location
For many years there was a filling station here at the intersection between Nynäsvägen and Dalarövägen in central Handen. It was known as Nynäs Bensinstation. Operated by the Ljung family. The last occupant was Gilberts lastbilsservice, he closed a couple of years ago, and last fall the building was demolished. I'm guessing you will see a few more apartment buildings like the ones at Haninge park in the background here in a not too distant future

Golden Glow

Golden Glow
This apartment building is part of a complex called Haninge Park. Situated at the Folkets Park in Handen. I remember taking a bunch of photos here years ago as they were building it. And I have also taken a few portraits of the people that lives here. This was the scene earlier this week. The low standing Winter sun glowing in the windows.

Touched By Flowers

Touched By Flowers

This sculpture, called Rörd av blommor, or Touched By Flowers can be seen at the park in Tungelsta. Bigger photo. Or zoom in a bit with this photo. The artist is Klara Kristalova. The artwork is made from bronze and shows a hand that touches some flowers. The non-profit organisation Föreningen Folk&Trädgård in Tungelsta (gardeners and flower enthusiasts), sponsored the sculpture. Around the artwork some Buxus sempervirens have been planted. Yesterday was Tungelsta Day so a lot of people visited the park.

New Apartment Building

Haninge Park

This is Haninge Park in Handen. The second phase of construction of these apartment buildings are under way here. I visit with my camera every now and then. From here it's only a few minutes walk down to Lake Rudan and even shorter to the Handen Mall. What you probably can't see from this picture is that I took two photos in the portrait mode, and then stitched them together using Autostitch. That was the only way to get the whole building site with the big crane in one shot. Pretty good job if you ask me! Bigger photo.
