At the nature park

I am a bit behind when it comes to my photos. We are in full Autumn now. It is getting darker, and colder. I shot these photos at the nature park Slätmossen ten days ago. It is a very popular park for both locals and wildlife.

September equinox

Höstdagjämningen took place yesterday. Also known as the September equinox. I stopped at the nature park Slätmossen in Handen for a few photos and a light lunch. I always shoot the view in the first photo because, you know, you have to really. After finishing my lunch I heard a noice so I looked around to see Mama Moose and her calf joining me in the park. Because I had decided to mostly shoot macro images I didn't have the zoom lens with me so I had to make do with the nifty fifty.

Autumn Colors

Bike ride to the Tyresta National Park earlier in the week. Sunny, and around 17C. No real signs of Autumn until I walked down towards the new bird watching tower.

Varieties of Autumn

Sleet is a good word for today. Listening to the weather report yesterday evening, it looked like we could get some snow this morning, but it's more that awful mix of rain and snow. Heading home on the bike yesterday I experienced the first hail storm of the season. So with this weather I'm not very likely to use the camera today, which is why I figured I could show you my two latest photos of the old tree at Välsta. First photo is from early November on a beautiful day. The misty photo is from late October.

Autumn at Alby

Alby is a small rural part of Haninge. A few days ago I went for a walk across the fields here and took some autumn photos.

Autumn Avenue

It was a cold night. The leafs changed their color overnight. This was the tree lined avenue Allévägen in Lida this afternoon.

Höst.

View from a pier

The view from the pier at Östnora in Haninge, you can just see two red buildings at the marina. Flickr has the hickups today so this is a photo I took on this day last year. The weather was pretty much the same, a little less foggy perhaps. Östnora is a 15 minute bike ride from where I live. When I was a kid on summer break, I often took the bus down to this beach with my friend Åke. We learned to swim here sort of, I'm a lousy swimmer. I guess it's safe to say that Fall or Autumn is here now. The temperature has dropped from 20 to 14 over the weekend.

Autumn Colors

We call autumn Höst. And Autumn Colors is called Höstfärger. From the Nature Park Slätmossen in Handen. Shot this from one of the bridges. I often stop here and enjoy the view and chat away with the ducks. It looks like the swedish version of the Indian Summer, the Brittsommar continues and I'm not complaining.
