If you could move just a little

If you could move just a little
Photographers, never happy. The poor soldiers from the Swedish army all had to take orders from the Canon guy, as they should of course. As witnessed at Skeppsbron a couple of days ago.

Street scenes

Mösspåtagning Revolution Gone shopping Taking a moment Feeding the birds
A mix of recent street scenes from around Stockholm. It was "mösspåtagning" in Stockholm a few days ago.Student cap day. The city was filled with soon to graduate secondary school students drinking beer all day long. They continued to do that for the rest of the day, evening and night. Here they are at Medborgarplatsen on Södermalm. I read a news report where local police asked the parents to pick up their drunk kids, so it sounds like a day to remember! The guy wanting a revolution was trying to get more recrutes at Hamngatan, where I also spotted the happy girls with the big bag and what have you. In the fourth photo we see a woman at a complete standstill on the busy pedestrian street Drottninggatan. The teenage bird feeder was observed at Kungsträdgården.

Wedding Season

Eyeing the photographer Wedding Couple
Pro tip. If you are in Stockholm on a Saturday looking for photo opportunities I can highly recommend a visit to Stadshuset. City Hall, as there are normally a few wedding parties there. Oh, and a heads up. I am waiting for a new router for wireless broadband, should have made the switch 18 months ago, but that never happened for some unknown reason. So my internet connection is a bit wobbly at the moment as Telia, my provider is shutting down the old network

Fourteen scenes from Nynäshamn

Villa Hamnvik Knappelskär Windswept Knappelskär Strandvägen Nynäs Havsbad Trehörningen Seaside living Trehörningsviken Nice day for it Gästhamnen Gästhamnen Sandvik Rökeri
The month of May is finally here. If you live in Sweden, this is most likely your favorite time of the year. We call it sköna maj. May the beautiful. The light is back. The days are so much longer. It is warm again after the cold Winter. And most importantly, everything is getting green again. Although this time around, everything feel a bit delayed. Anywho, I took my first bike ride of the year to Nynäshamn, a port city on Södertörn. I visited three beaches. Met two women who asked me if I was going for a swim, I was not! But I sat down and ate my lunch next to them at Nickstabadet. I then continued to Lövholmen and the rocky beach at Knappelskär, before riding back into the city center along the photogenic ring road known as Strandvägen. It was built for the 1912 Olympic Games btw. I made another stop at Fagerviken that has nice views toward the island of Trehörningen. My final visit was the guest harbor, where bikers and ice cream eaters were enjoying the Summer temperatures. The restaurants were packed with people, I took a stroll looking at some of the visiting ships.

My second visit to the Cherry Blossom at The King's garden in Stockholm this Spring. I am a bit addicted to photographing people photographing the Cherry Blossom so you can expect to see photos from a few more visits! The guy in the top photo, carrying three cameras is hard to miss. He is very social. I have seen him at the weekly flea market a couple of times.

Bicyclemania

Team Rynkeby Nice day for it 4077 Skeppsbron Skeppsbron AAC One eye open Helmet & gloves Munkbroleden Mockaskor No eye contact The Swedish Colors Cyclist With a hint of a smile Scarf Cross Halsduk Bicycle basket Munkbroleden Weathered My people
I photographed cyclists at three different locations yesterday. Team Rynkeby is a Nordic charity cycling team that travels from Denmark to Paris by bike. The purpose of this trip is to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany and Switzerland. I spotted him at The King's Park where I was photographing Cherry Blossom. The rest of the bike photos in this post are from two places in the Old Town. First Skeppsbron and then Munkbroleden cycling to and from work or whatever. It was the warmest day of the year. I cycled 80 km on my bike. Mostly in just pants and a t-shirt, which was nice.
