A new tradition
Hundreds of cars are being torched at the moment all around Sweden. Mostly in the suburbs. It is a new tradition. Dating back a few years, usually the week before the schools open again. This one looks to have been stolen first, and the torched at Hanveden, from where many people get their drinking water, including the Coca-Cola plant. Article in English about it at The Local.

What do you think is behind this tradition. Bored kids... disgruntled unemployed people... a political statement?
Very odd.
One popular word used here is "utanförskap". Social rejection in English.
