Icy Road
I use this road on a daily basis (yes, it's that same road again Grace), and I have biked here many times when it has been snowy and icy, but as the Winter tires I bought recently didn't fit my Steel Horse, my bike has been parked for a while now. I told the guy that you can see here that he was the tough biker of the day, and he said something I couldn't hear. I took this earlier in the week and it has been a few warm day since so I will try to get out with the bike now. And I will bring the camera!

It is a risky ride.
I'd hate to have to stop suddenly!
It can't be easy getting out and about in that weather Steffe.. but I know you'll give it a good try :)
I don't think I would try that anymore but I did ride my horse in the snow and ice years ago. I had to stop often to clean the built up snow out of his hooves.
Definition: a brave soul.
Birdman, you are way nicer than one of my flickr contacts who figured that this guy was the first Darwin Award 2015 nominee!
Oh, and most of the ice was gone when I rode my bike here a few hours ago.
Looks dangerous for a drive!

Maybe tire chains? ;-)
I'm always amazed by the winter riders!
I wouldn't ride a bicycle on that road for love or money. But then I'm a bit older than you, generally clumsy and have creaky joints. Go for it if you can.
I saw bike tracks last night on a snow covered parking lot... and wondered who'd be that dedicated to go out in the winter on a bike. I wouldn't mind walking that road!
He's a heartier soul than I and definitely colder.
Twenty years ago I rode my bike for a week on the snow and it wasn't bad: I had to be careful and I was also younger. Ice is probably more dangerous...
Glorious photo.
