Farmers market at the castle

Farmer's market at the castle The annual farmers market moved to Årsta castle in Österhaninge this year. I took the bike down to check it out. Quite a few familiar faces there selling their produce. Some of the farms in Haninge where there, including Stegsholm and Sanda. You could buy anything from wool products to locally produced cheese, honey, marmalade and more. For the hungry there was a stew made from wild boar!

The wild boar stew sounds interesting even if a wild boar gave up its life to become stew. I suppose anyone going there should have at least tasted it.

Well, that is one way to make good use of those pesky wild boars!

That villa looks familiar. I think we stopped there on our tour of Scandinavia when driving from Stockholm south to the Swedish lake country, if that is the direction from Stockholm where this is located.
