Showing a bit of leg

Portrait of a Greaser Girl Showing a bit of leg
One reason I had for shooting 1950s greaser girls at the big meet was a Utata project at flickr. The idea was to pay homage to one of six photographers, and I choose Bunny Yeager who took a lot of photos of Pettie Page. This is Mimmie. She was very easy to work with, very happy and positive. Two more Mimmie photos at flickr in case you are interested.

It is fascinating to see these young people dressing up the ways their grandparents might have dressed in the 1950s (but probably didn't).

You are one of the few bloggers who are not afraid to approach your subjects in public to take a photo in front. I like that. Well done.

The portraits are the only reason I'm still doing this, I'm finding it hard to even look at city blogs where there are no people!
