Posing with Leibovitz and Ohlson Wallin

Posing with Leibovitz and Ohlson Wallin

This is Marie, a horse crazy girl that lives in Tungelsta, and her friend Jennifer, who is from Nynäshamn. I noticed them at the cultural centre in Handen yesterday. They were taking photos of each other and holding up a couple of books, near the Viking Era Runestone. Both girls are photography students at the Fredrika Bremer school. They told me that they were working on a school project, and had just been to the library to pick up the books about Annie Leibovitz and Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin, the two photographers that they will make a movie about. As I told them that I would like to take a portrait, Marie informed me that I had met and photographed her two years ago. That time she was out riding on Nisse, the one eyed horse. It is the sixth time something like that has happened.

Nice capture with the bios of the photographers. Marie looks kind of bored, but then she's posed for you before.

Picking Liebovitz to study suggests she has good taste. (I don't know the other.)

It is understandable that you did not recognize her without her horse and riding gear, but who could forget posing for you?

Ha ha, good one Clueless. I told them to smile, but you shouldn't always do as you are told.

She is a Swedish photographer More about her work here: http://www.ohlson.se/

No one I hope Dave, although Christine pretended not to recognize me last week.

what a small world?
These students look so young. Are they in college or high school? Great to see the future generation of photographers out there.

I love the portrait, and the determined look in their eyes. I think they will really make something of themselves someday. I love that you have taken her portrait before-- it really shows how out-and-about you always are!

I sometimes forget a word here and there Kitty. The girls are secondary school students. That means a three year education, and normally the students are between 15 and 19 years old.

It's a bit weird that she doesn't have an English version of her web site CaT.
