Architectural Details

I have returned the Canon Powershot SX 30 IS camera to it's owner and told him what I thought about the camera. I didn't have time to check out all the features, but I really like the fantastic zoom, and the macro was not bad either. Like my old Ixus it had a stitching feature with is always useful. I have made a flickr set with some of the photos I took. You will probably recognise a few places. Like the Tungelsta stationhouse, the mirror shot, and the tree lined avenue. The architectural detail photo was shot with the use of the super zoom and it is from a building overlooking Lake Rudan in Handen. So if you need a point and shoot that can handle everything, this is a camera for you.

Hi Steffe! Yes, I've done way too many blogs for way too long. One is good. I've still got four but that may change, too!

Check out the Canon S95. I swear it's the best p&s I've ever seen and I've seen a lot and still own several. Check out Kenrockwell.com to see what Mr. Rockwell has to say about various Canon cameras. He's one of the most knowledgeable camera people in the world.

Any abstract painter will be happy to have the painting like your photo. And I like so much the reflections photo in your flickr slide show.

Looks like you've had some creative fun with that camera.

Especially like the shots that emphasize the geometry of the subject. So intriguing.

Interesting feedback! I love the stark composition and primary colours in that first shot.

Interesting, I always thought you were using an SLR. Your photography is really good. :)

Hope you find a good replacement soon. A good P&S is a handy thing.

At the moment I own two cameras. One Canon 300D and one cheap Canon Powershot. I use those both on a daily basis. I'm hoping to buy a Canon 550D this spring.
