How to spend 1 000 000 SEK

Gardener in Action

Gardener At Work

The municipality has decided to spend 1 000 000 SEK on flower arrangements in Haninge this year. Thats 50% more than usual. The man you see here is Janne Sandh. One of the few remaining gardeners in Tungelsta. I spotted him up on a ladder along "Fina Gatan" in Handen. Some of the extra money will go to a number of Hanging baskets that you will see here soon. When that happens I will go back to see if it was worth all that money, so it better be...

Skywatch Friday.

a lot money, Steffi.
Jag tror att politikerna är nästan alla lika. Över hela världen. För mycket pengar för ingenting.

It will be beautiful, I bet. I hope the flowers are local so you're supporting your local farmers with this project.

I'm sure it will be. A nice complement to that blue sky of summer. They are doing that project with care, it seems.

I'm sure the hanging baskets of flowers will be beautiful, but I'm not so sure it's worth that much money. Maybe it will attract more tourists, though!

They usually are very beautiful but expensive.

Very good safety practices being followed here, the ladder is being footed, it is tied off half way up and he is a few rungs down from the top.

What a great photo! I really like the crisp lines and contrasting colors along with the personality of that fellow way up on the ladder.

Eeeeek! I am glad that is HIS job! I would have fallen off long ago.

At least the city is spending the money for a good use. Flowers make things happy! As long as they're kept watered.... :)

I'd suspect that hanging gardens are always welcome.
