Beatrice

Beatrice

This is Beatrice, or Bea. I met her yesterday at the Fredrika Bremer School in Handen. She had been busy shooting graduating students. I came around the corner, and noticed three women and a camera, and figured I should be able to find a stranger here. I did, but it took me a while. I first asked one of her friends, who turned me down. I then spent some five minutes explaining about the project. Bea first said that she was more comfortable behind the camera (typical photographer excuse!), but in the end she agreed to have her photo taken and I'm very happy with the result. Bea lives in Småland, outside Vimmerby, in a village called Gullringen, so she had to travel quite a bit for this gig. She aims to become a professional photographer. Beatrice enjoys all sorts of photography. You can see some of her work at Fotosidan. Macro Album. Nature Album. This is my 44th photo for the 100 Strangers project. You can see the rest of my strangers in my Set.

so very impressed with your shots of strangers. How do you get them to let you take their pic? Here in New York, strangers will usually turn me down even if I ask nicely. Good work!

Well done yet again. How very self referential! Now we need to know if she has a blog with a photo of you taking a photo of her taking a photo of you.

Thanks ken mac. I first explain that more then 1100 photographers all over the world are involved in this social project. I then tell them about some of the people I have photographed. And I always offer them my MOO MiniCard.I got my new order just the other day. Good questions to ask are what's the funniest, dumbest, weirdest thing you have ever done, that usually brings up some fun memories and people start to talk. Whenever I'm turned down I try to smile and say No Worries. Thanks Kris. Sadly she didn't take a photo of me!

So that first friend of hers remains a stranger without a number then...

That is true. And I'm not very likely to meet anyone of them again. I do meet and sometimes talk to a number of my previous strangers.
