That time of the year again

Top photo taken at a pedestrian crossing at Sveavägen. I heard the motorcycle coming, noticed it was a pink one, so I walked out onto the street, took a photo, she smiled, and then I walked back. Back home I did a quick search and found her TikTok. The fast looking BMW was parked near Fjällgatan, the spot I showed you yesterday. I spotted the vintage Triumph a while back while on my way to Norrmalmstorg.

Motorcycle of the day

Quite a few bikers at the Vegabaren car meet. This motorcycle was a bit special with all the skulls and of course the machine gun! The owner looked very pleased with all the attention. Oh, and by chance just a day later I was walking through the Norra Begravningsplatsen cemetery in Solna when I spotted a gravestone where the inventor of the Swedish machine gun rested. Might show you a few photos from that walk in a few days time.

Triumph Bonneville

I parked my bicycle at Vattentorget in the old town and went for a walk. A favorite place since it opened for the public one year ago. This is the same area with the new square that opened this Summer, which I showed a week ago. It is still under construction btw. And every person visiting Stockholm feels the need to check it out. This biker had done just that and was ready to leave when I spotted his classic motorcycle. He looked very happy that I noticed the motorcycle, and we gave each other a nod as I jumped on my bike and pedalled away.

Seasoned Biker

After shooting some photos at the weekly flea market at Hötorget I found myself eating a sandwich while looking at passersby as one does as a photographer. This seasoned biker caught my eye as he was waiting at a stoplight at Sveavägen. Photos from the flea market tomorrow.

The one handed rider

Nice day for it, although it was snowing just ten minutes before. I was shooting a big old oak out on a field at Häringe Castle when I heard the Harley coming so I only got this one shot. Snaps from the castle and it's surroundings to come.

Whenever I photograph a motorcycle you know that real Spring has arrived. But as I snapped this one yesterday I seriously regretted not wearing my Winter jacket. The Summer temperature from the last two days were nowhere to be seen.

Harley-Davidson

There was a big bike meet at Tyresö castle yesterday. It's within bicycle distance for me, so I was thinking about going, but in the end I decided to check out a local festival instead, but I also figured that I could probably get one or two motorcycle photos from the pedestrian bridge that crosses the Gudöbroleden, that some of the bikers would have to pass and this was one photo I took.

Summer Fun

I can't remember any month of May that has been this warm. New records broken every day. And most people seem to enjoy the "extra" Summer time, like these two guys out driving their expensive toys. I spotted the motorcycle in Handen and the Hot Rod in Västerhaninge. They toys I used to document their fun is also expensive, but worth every "krona".

No Return

Boss Hoss

I visited the annual motorcycle meet at Vegabaren in Handen today. The Easy Rider Festival. Summer had returned and it was warm and sunny. Unfortunately the meet collided with the big Mälaren Runt motorcycle race which attracts around 25 000 riders, so Vegabaren wasn't too crowded this time around. This is a Boss Hoss bike. It will set you back nearly a million SEK.

Motorcycle Mania

Built and tested in the mountains

Spotted this beauty as it was driving towards me in Krigslida yesterday so I decided to wave it down for a chat and a few photos. A Reading Standard motorcycle with a sidecar, from 1917. Made in Reading, Pennsylvania. Now living in Tungelsta since a quarter of a century. Once, during a holiday ride to Norway with the Reading Standard, Olle, the owner was stopped by the police. His wife and young daughter were riding in the sidecar, and he figured he must have broken a few traffic regulations and that there would be trouble. But it was just one of the cops who was really interested in the bike and wanted to know more. There used to be a club for people with this type of motorcycle but it died out as there were so few bikes still in circulation. Built and tested in the mountains was the company's slogan btw.

Harley-Davidson Police Motorcycle

A 1948 Harley. Used as a police motorcycle before it was imported to Sweden. The current owner bought it 25 years ago for 50 000SEK. Since then he has spent 100 000SEK to keep it in mint condition. He visits lots of bike meets and I'm sure i will see him at the Easy Rider Festival next month.

Honda Guy

Here is a fun story. I took this photo from a pedestrian bridge (you can see it in the reflection), in Handen yesterday. As soon as I saw the blue Honda I aimed the camera at it. Five minutes later and I'm still out on the bridge snapping away when a woman walks over the bridge and strikes up a conversation. She asks if I'm getting any good shots so I show her a few and tells her about the panning technique. She then asks me if I by any chance got a photo of the blue Honda that drove by a few minutes ago? Long story short, it was her husband out driving so last night Iemailed this photo to both Anna Lena and her husband Per.
