The Flower Shop Girl

This is Danuta. Together with Ingemar she owns and runs the plant nursery Blomorado in Tungelsta. Their store is open seven days a week. So if you live in the area, and are looking to buy some yellow, gold, orange, purple, violet, red, white, or even black spring flowers, this is the place for you. They also sell fruit trees and anything else you may need for your garden. During my visit today they were very busy. Not surprisingly as it looks like spring has finally arrived, and everyone is looking to buy flowers. Today is Theme Day at City Daily Photo and the theme is Yellow. Run!

The neighbours crazy dog Benny was out walking with Danuta when I came home to Bergdalen this afternoon. The big white boxer saw me and decided it was time for a chase. Not much Danuta could do as he is very strong. He caught up with me in a few seconds.I normally print these dog shots and give to the neighbours. They need to buy another photo album now.

Watering the poinsettia plants

The days are getting shorter now. And the nights are getting longer of course, which means that the 35 000 poinsettia plants (or the bracts on the plants) at Blomorado in Tungelsta slowly are turning red, white and pink.


Normally the automatic watering system at Blomorado takes care of the watering, but sometimes the gardener has to do it by hand which is a very slow process.

Spraying the poinsettia plants

Greenhouse number six at Blomorado is filling up with poinsettia plants. This evening all 28 000 plants will be planted. Only 120 days until they are ready. Here you see Danuta spraying some of the plants.

When can I see her again?

That's the question that Benny the Boxer asks Danuta. Benny had a visit from a boxer girl the other day. He was very happy. No visit from her today so no smiles for the photographer this time...
Danuta is my neighbour and Benny is her familys crazy dog. He does what he likes. He is very strong. I have a flickr set all about this crazy dog. He is very photogenic, dont you think?

Under Attack...

This my neighbour Danuta (she and her family runs Blomorado), and her wacky dog Benny. He is a big white boxer and is very very strong. Whenever someone in their family Danuta, Ingemar or their son John takes him for a walk and he sees me this happens! He loves to attack me! This photo is from my archives, I took it awhile back, the snow is gone today. But I'm showing you this because I live in the yellow house in the background, and that's my bike that I use to get around town with my camera. See ya later!
