Cars & Trucks & People

Raggare Apache truck Pontiac GTO The Rolling Stones Keep On Truckin' It was the last Summer day Pontiac GTO Filling up Fairlane Crown Will you look at that
Ten photos from the big car meet at Larsboda. Arranged by the greaser club, Moonshine Cruisers. I have created a flickr set with all the photos. And if you press here, you can check it out, all photos have car info. This turned out to be the last real Summer day of 2022. It was around 26C. A day later it rained for most of the day, and it has been way colder ever since.

Hawaiian shirt?

Hawaiian shirt? Politically incorrect merch Candy
To colorful? Sure, I get that. How about a Confederate flag dice, then? Wouldn't that be nice? No dice? Okay. How about some candy? Some of the politically correct, and politically incorrect things you could buy at the big classic car meet at the Moonshine Cruisers headquarters. Back to more cars, which is better, tomorrow.

Ten Colorful Cars

Cadillac DeVille Dodge Coronet I am using the fuel you saved Apache truck 1933 Ford Volvo 1972 Chevelle Chevrolet Impala 1968 Plymouth Belvedere 1975 Dodge Dart
My first batch of photos from the car meet at Moonshine Cruisers at Larsboda in Farsta. It was held on what turned out to be the last real Summer day. When I arrived in the early afternoon, it was 26C. This is a very open area, with a few trees here and there, but mostly it is asphalt everywhere, so it sure was a hot day. First up is a Cadillac DeVille. Then we have a Dodge Coronet. In third place we have a rust-colored Pontiac Bonneville, the sticker, translated, says I am using the fuel you saved. Then we see an old Apache truck in Arctic blue. Going further back in time, we see a black 1933 Ford. We break the US cars with a rebuilt red Volvo from 1965. Next, a two-colored Chevelle. Followed by a blue Pontiac Chieftain. Orange is the new muscle color, so that is what we see in the next photo. And after that, back to the blues with a Pontiac GTO. One of the first photos I took was of the yellow,(ish), Plymouth Belvedere. And my first photo and tenth and last for today was a green 1975 Dodge dart. Enjoy!

What a difference

What a difference
This sign really cracked me up. This car meet used to be held at Vegabaren, and it was legendary. It was the highlight of the season for many people. It would be an insane party, with a lot of alcohol, sexy babes and all the rest. People would drink until they passed out where they stood or sat. Police and ambulance would be nearby, just in case. Traffic would come to a full stop when someone decided to do a burnout on the street. It was great fun. As a photographer, you just had to lift the camera in any direction to get a fun shot, and I have nine flickr set to prove it. Then came the complaints from the neighbors. So the event changed location. I attended, but it was not much fun. So they moved it again to the Moonshine Cruisers club here at Larsboda. It was kinda boring. Then came the pandemic and the event was cancelled for two years. This year it was back. But very different. No party until the evening, and you would need a ticket for that. So it was just the cars when I was there. And this smoking area where Janne-Taxi is talking to someone. But don't worry, I am currently going through the car photos I took and I will be showing them to you in the next few days.
