All the old houses that once stood here was destroyed in the big Katarina fire in 1723. In total, around 500 houses were lost to the flames. After that huge fire it became illegal to construct wooden houses here, but just six years later these houses were finished at what is today Mäster Mikaels gata. All the buildings are today owned by the City. The young woman came out from number 8 as I took the photo. Must be an interesting place to live.

The houses are charming. I would need to see the neighborhood before deciding if I wanted to live there.
It's a lovely photo :-D
Hipster part of the city. Many young families. Cafés, bars and restaurants everywhere. Mostly old stone buildings, but there are one or two new ones as well. And a few streets with old ones like you can see here. My favorite part of Stockholm.
I like the look of these houses a lot.
Nice looking homes. It might be interesting to live near by. Not so much inrto the hip part of it.
Lovely houses!
You photographed buildings well
Those have lasted a long time considering they were not built to code.
It does look like a great place to call home. It's true around here too many fires caused the rule of no more wooden buildings.
