Åsöberget

Autumn Skeppargränd Skeppargränd
Three Autumn photos from a hill on Södermalm in Stockholm. Åsöberget. The streets are Skeppargränd and Lotsgatan. All the old houses that you can find in this area are today owned by the City, through a company called Stadsholmen. This was a very poor part of Stockholm three hundred years ago. The people that lived here back then often worked in the shipping industry, or tar industry. Both streets have been used in very famous novels about Stockholm, by Albert Engström and Per-Anders Fogelström, to name a few.

Yes those autumn colors and the buildings for that matter look fantastic in this sunlight.
