Idlers Rod Run

A Last Summer Drive
Many years ago a bunch of Swedish car enthusiasts visited the US. One day they came across an old license plate with the name Idlers on it. That was an old Hot Rod club from back in the 1950s. When the guys came back home they started their own Swedish Hot Rot club with the same name. Idlers. I met one of the members, Kenneth Ås, recently and he told me about their annual Idlers Rod Run. Late in the Summer they cruise around Södertörn, stopping at specific places to answer some trivia questions. They have been doing that for some fifteen years. Today the run is open for any old (and cool) car. I was over at the old tree last weekend when I saw a few cars passing by so I jumped on the bike and quickly pedaled away to an intersection and started shooting.

What a beautiful collection of old cars. That first one in the slideshow kinda makes me want to go watch some Supernatural....

Very cute vintage car Steffe, it's a shame I can never see your slide show shots.

Why is that then Grace, are you using your smartphone for browsing? You could just head over to flickr and look at the photos individually, or browse via your computer.

Nice old cars. The fascination of Swedes with old American cars never ceases to surprise me.
