The Lolita

The Lolita
I noticed a splash of pink today. It was Emelie out walking her dog in Västerhaninge. She is studying to become an occupational therapist, and is working as a Nursing Assistant. Emelie has a big interest in Lolita Fashion, and had we met later in the day she would have been dressed like a Lolita, hence the title. I decided to shoot a Brenizer portrait of her so this is 12 photos taken with the nifty fifty lens. When the photo session was over Emelie told me that we had met before! That is always a bit embarrassing, but she did look a bit different when we first met four years ago.

Great capture!

I would not have recognized either, not after looking at the portrait of four years ago. ;-)

She certainly looks different. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Lolita persona she is cultivating?

I like more how she dresses now...

She did look different back then. Wonder if the boyfriend also has a pair of pink boots? ;)

She looks quite different from four years ago. . .you shouldn't be embarassed at not recognizing here. I guess you probably haven't changed much if she recognized you! ;-)

Wow, she is cute in both shots, but she looks younger in this portrait. Good job!

I'm still trying to understand why a young lady wants to dress in "Lolita fashion" ... can't help wonder if she knows the Lolita reference...

She is cute. And no, I would not know her from 4 years back. Very different. She appears more friendly and softer now.

Google "Horse Fever." I have no idea how many of these things there are. I know a few years ago there were 55. Then some were added; and then some more. But they do sell them at auction so some may have disappeared. It's a charity deal.

She looks younger in this photo than in the one from four years ago. She has discovered the secret of eternal youth!

I had never heard of this style so I clicked your link. It doesn't sound like it has much to do with the Nabokov novel. Young people grow out of this.

She is going to turn from pink to black!:) ???

Nice image, and as I have said before, you are good at finding interesting people and get permission to photograph them.

Yes, I do think they are still together CaT.

Who knows Mr.Boston.

I'm sure he must have a pair Halcyon!

I probably just look a bit older Kay.

Not necessarily black Gunn. I'm guessing more pink...
