Wrapped in
It is that time of the year again. When the fields around the local farms are filled with wrapped in hay bales. Has a surreal feel to it sometimes. Especially at night. Took this photo near the old tree yesterday. Not sure how the farmers are coping with all the rain, lets hope for the best.

I think ours are wrapped in something green. Are yours wrapped in something white?
Ours are round and wrapped in black!
I've never seen ours wrapped at all!
Really cool capture Steffe.
Very white. One or two more photos at flickr.
That must be a ghostly sight in moonlight! Here the wrapped bales are silage and black.
This is fascinating as we took a little road trip a couple of days ago and came across a field filled with hay bales covered in white cloth!
When I was very young, we never wrapped the grains. It would appear that this is an efficient way to protect against the rains.
Our hay bales are also white, but they are round.
Love the perspective on this one Steffe, usually the farmers love the rain, but I guess you can have too much of a good thing oui!
nice!
i miss seeing that... never saw it around here, but i did in texas (without wrapping indeed)
Great pattern of wrapped bales. Never seen a field quite like this before. Well taken.
