Beach Candids
We had a few hours of sunshine on Sunday. I decided to hit the beach. I wasn't the only one with that idea. Arriving at my favorite beach Årsta Havsbad, I sat on the grass for a while relaxing. Then, as I usually do, I walked over to a bench from where you have the best view over the beach. A family was sitting there, so while I was shooting we got talking about photography in public spaces. That is always an interesting topic. I only shot two candid photos and here they are. Pretty girl wearing a pink bikini, and cool guy with big back tattoo. Might show you a very wide beach photo tomorrow.

And ... the content of the conversation about photography in public ... put you off taking lots of shots?
I always feel a bit intimidated when I'm shooting at the beach. I have shot maybe three portraits at beaches. This was a rather short stop. After I had taken two panoramas I spent fifteen minutes on the bench talking the guy and his wife, then the clouds rolled in and I jumped on the bike and headed to a little village nearby for a few rural scenes and after that I made my way to the art gallery near the Medieval church where I had coffee in the garden.
great shots - I'm not one for sitting on a beach too long but it's nice for a short time.
My view is biased since I've had melanoma but it seems to me that Swedes and beaches are a dangerous mix.
I always feel intimidated taking people shots. That tattoo is pretty cool looking (says someone who does not particularly like tattoos)
The tattoo is amazing;I wonder how long it took for it to be applied? I posted a guy with a tattoo today, but it sure doesn't compare with this one.
Thats a serious work in ink. Pretty girl too, but I guess thats your forte.
Who needs a tee shirt, he has a permanent one. Ah! I remember the days when I wore a teenie weenie pink bikini!!
We too have finally got sunshine. Expect lots of lobster bodies over the next week as everyone is lily white.
Nice pictures: I agree on the pretty, but not about the cool...
Oh don't be put off by street photography. It's the most fun I have with my camera!
Lucky you to have a beach so close. Hope you have many more sunny days to enjoy. ( And don't forget your camera!)

I do enjoy street photography, I try to shoot a few candid photos at different events, but I am much more into street portraits these days.
Yikes. My back doesn't look anything like that.
Great portraits! Your beach looks almost as crowded as ours... on a daily basis! I'll have to wait for September to enjoy them again.
hahahaha, a permanent tshirt... :D
thats a funny one.
i think its a little too much, but i like your pics!
