Lake Reflection
A house with a view. From Upper Lake Rudan in Handen. Ice is beginning to form at the lake. Last time I took a photo here was in late summer, two boys were out canoeing. This is a very popular recreational area minutes away from central Handen. My aunt and uncle lives on the other side of the lake and has a great view of this house from their balcony. I'm guessing that the poeople living in this house will see a lot of fireworks over the lake tonight as we say goodbye to 2006 and welcomes the new year. See you all in 2007. Bigger photo.

Ice is a strange thing. The average temperature remains well above zero so why are there spots of ice on the pavements? And why indeed on this lake where there should be a lot of warmth still accumulated in the water? Gotta check my school books again some day. Maybe zero isn't zero anymore due to some recent legislation? ;)
Happy New!
