...any other bridge really. I call this one the bridge to nowhere. Mostly because I took a photo of it before it was finished. But it is a bit on the ugly side.

Oat/Havre

One of two oat fields that the farmer from Nedersta gård were out harvesting earlier in the week. So Swedish word of the day is Havre, Oat.

Birds of prey

Birds of prey circling overhead yesterday as I stopped for a photo of the combine harvester. I counted around eight birds in all.

What symbolises growth and progress?

This used to be a little forest with a bunch of old Summer houses. All but one house disappeared quite a few years ago. The new apartment buildings here at Kvarteret Sjögläntan in Handen are just a short walk from the Rudan nature reserve, and it is also very close to the mall and the commuter station so this will most likely be a popular place to live. brfsjoglantan1.se/

Last day of Summer?

September started with a warm and sunny Sunday. I went for a walk along the water at Södermalm in Stockholm.

Not so colorful cars

The younger "raggare" are more into this sort of ride. What we call a "råttsoffa". And they usually like to party 24/7.

Fitting In

Two portraits of what an old-school Raggare used to look like and continues to do even today. The mustache of the day at the big Greaser meet,(Raggarträff), at Larsboda in Farsta belongs to one of the members of the organizing raggare club Moonshine Cruisers. The second photo shows a guy from Wermdö if I remember correctly. I have photographed him before because of his "raggarfrilla". That is the name of his hairstyle.

Grand Prix Raggarbil 2019

The annual Greaser Meet Grand Prix Raggarbil took place yesterday. For many years it was held at Vegabaren in Handen, but this year it had moved to the headquarters of the arranging motor club Moonshine Cruisers at Larsboda in Farsta. More photos from the event to come in the next few days.

That was my first impression when I saw her sitting on a bench together with her boyfriend at Södermalm in Stockholm a while back. I was out for a walk with the camera and this was the first photo I took during that promenade.

Great fun to watch all the competitors in the STHLM Mayhem Team of 4 fight it out at Eskilsparken. Organized by Crossfit Södertörn.

STHLM Mayhem

There was a Crossfit event at Eskilspaken in Handen this weekend. Fifty teams took part in the competition that was called STHLM Mayhem. Organized by a local gym Crossfit Södertörn. There were four members in each team, two men and two women. I stuck around for a while and was very impressed by how fit everyone seemed to be. More photos in my flickr set.
