Swedish word of the day. Höbal. Also known as a tractor egg. Spoted while cycling past Skönstaholm a few days ago. A rural scene just a couple of kilometers from Stockholm.
If you have 200 million dollars lying around you might be able to buy this little boat. At least if and when André Koo Jr needs to sell it. It was in Stockholm for nearly two weeks. Moored at Skeppsbrokajen for a while but when a bigger Cruise ship arrived they moved it out to here.
It took me a few days to through all the photos from the Sveavägen Cruising. But I am now finished with task. So here are ten more snaps from that fun afternoon. And there are 164 photos in the Flickr album to check out if like old cars.
I am still going through my photos from the Sveavägen cruising, so here are ten more. It was a fun afternoon looking at all the classic cars and all the people lining the street. Many car owners had chairs and tables with them and were eating, drinking and commenting about it all which I heard during my long walk.
Sveavägen cruising dates back to the 1950s. Hundreds of classic cars will drive up and down the most famous Stockholm street for several hours. On this day, I arrived in the early afternoon when most people were still at two major car meets nearby, but I still came home with more than 100 photos. The evenings here can be quite special. If you have read my blog for a few years you probably remember my visits to an annual event with cars, girls and a lot of partying. From 2008 to 2019. The event had to close down because of too many complaints from the neighbors and also because of the traffic chaos that followed. But I heard yesterday that the event will return to Vegabaren in late August, which will be fun. More photos from the Sveavägen cruising to come.
A few photos from the Stockholm Pride Parade. I arrived a little late so it was hard to find good spots to watch the parade from as the streets were packed with people. Superb weather. Around 50 000 people walked in the parada and half a million people lined the streets. Many streets closed off but as I was on the bike it was easy to get around. These photos are from three or four different places.
