Solberga
You can't really see it behind the Autumn colors, but this is the former vicarage at Solberga in Österhaninge. Built back in 1764. The Swedish entertainer Björn Skifs lives here today.

The Glass House
I attended the opening ceremony for the rebuilt commuter station in Tungelsta last year. There were a few speeches, the new glass house was mentioned a few times. We were treated to free cake and as usual it all ended with the ribbon cutting. Since that day there has been flooding in the tunnel, and also some window smashing. Not sure that this is how the architect wanted it to look but you never know.

Early one Sunday morning
Hasse enjoying (?) a cigarillo while taking in the sunrise view from the new observation tower at Tornberget one Sunday morning not too long ago. We decided earlier in the year that it would be fun to trek to the new tower a few times this year and this was a fun visit. We arrived five minutes before the sun rose at six in the morning and stayed for around one hour. It's a 25 minute walk through the forest to the tower and you can see for many miles in every direction. No one else around and the silence was remarkable. We enjoyed coffee and bite to eat while watching the sunrise through the morning clouds. It was a fine start to the day.

Just follow the sunflowers
Thousands of sunflowers blooming on a field near Stav in Tungelsta. Nothing special about that, but there's a note by the side of the field. It's from the students at the Berga agricultural college informing us that they planted the flowers for all the bees and insects, and if you want a flower go ahead and pick one, but they would appreciate if you donated 10SEK for every flower to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Parkstråket
293 new apartments, (leasehold), in a total of six buildings, between four to nine stories high, to be built here at Vintervägen/Sommarvägen in Handen. At the moment there are a few temporary student apartments in what is left of the forest here. Expect to move in here in 2020 if this is the place for you. The architects are Semrén & Månsson. At the same time Turbinen is constructing a new school close to the bridge that connects the area to the Rudan nature reserve, that is what the third photo shows. goo.gl/CQn1YA

Scania Trucks
All the way from Frederikssund in Denmark, Hjarne Larsson in a fine Scania-Vabis. Then you have Michael Nielsen also from Denmark. Next you have Joacim Dahlstedt in his 1971 Scania-vabis. And in the last photo Bo Larsson from Strängnäs in his Scania from 1957. Great to see all these colorful trucks that took part in the Tunga Rallyt out on the roads.

Vintage Buses
My second post from the 2018 Tunga Rallyt Åkarsvängen, a heavy rally that took place on Södertörn on Saturday. As you can see there were a few colorful buses among all the old trucks. The first photo shows a blue Volvo from 1959. Driven by Håkan Gräns from Boxholm. The second bus is Scania-Vabis from 1965, it is owned by Svenska Omnibusföreningen, they also own the orange bus in the third photo that shows a Volvo 58-60t from 1970. The last photo shows a Scania from 1968 driven by Ulf Engeström from Djurhamn. More trucks to roll by in the coming days.

Tunga Rallyt Åkarsvängen
150 vintage trucks and buses took part in the 2018 Tunga Rallyt Åkarsvängen this year. It was a 100 km trip around Södertörn, and I photographed most of them when they passed by Tungelsta along Södertäljevägen on Saturday. The vintage trucks and buses came from all over Sweden and a few other countries as well. The start and the finish took place at Scania in Södertälje. More cool trucks and buses to come in the next few days.

The good life
That was the theme for the Haninge Day this year. Here is a collage and a slideshow with all the photos I took at the event. Top left photo in the collage shows Freja, the winner of the Funkisfestivalen performing on the big stage. The guy with the canon strap is Micke Klein out strolling with his son, you have seen him in action here with his band a couple of times. The guitarist in the second row is Micke Vinsa he was playing with Freja here. The two girls in the bottom row are Bella &Cornelia from my favorite cafe, Malmens konditori. You can spot their boss Natalia in the third row. The dancing girls represent Haninge Dansstudio. The cheerleaders walking down the stairs are from Haninge Cheer Elite. And if you can't see the slideshow press here to go to my flickr album.

Accordion and double bass
Nice when there are several scenes with very different music, one for every musical taste. That was the case during Haninge Day in Handen on Saturday. These guys are called Haningemusikanterna and they had a very different audience compared with the punk band, the rapper Linda Pira and the dynamic duo Samir & Viktor.

Samir & Viktor
The duo Samir & Viktor took to the stage at Poseidon's square in Handen during Haninge Day, and just like that the square was filled to capacity with screaming kids and their poor parents. I have no idea who the duo are, but according to the Internet they are the shit. And on a personal note. I haven't been around to the other blogs in our little community for a while, and the reason for that was the passing of my mother earlier this Summer. Just got back from a memorial service that we held in the park in Tungelsta this afternoon so life is returning to normal now.

An AcQuire (d) taste
AcQuire performing at the cultural centre, (Haninge kulturhus). I had coffee with a few of the guys that usually sits around complaining about whatever at Malmens kondirori as the choir sang a Coldplay song from the stage next to the cafeteria. Totally sure that the complainers didn't pick up on that. Because on this occasion they complained about the singing, before leaving and walking past the outdoor stage where another concert was under way, and while walking past me one of the guys told me that the music from that stage was horrible. It was not, it was in fact the highlight of the day so photos from that performance by Linda Pira and her dancers to come later.

The Invisible Man
The Invisible Man made an appearance at the market in Sorunda yesterday. He was hard to see of course but all of a sudden there he was. Nearly naked but because he was wearing a pair of jeans I managed to track him down. But as soon as he saw me he froze and didn't move as long as I stuck around!

Men and their animals
Visited a market in Sorunda. It was a fine Summer day. The park where the local historical association can be found was packed with people looking to buy and sell locally produced food and what have you. I also spotted these two guys that seemed to be popular with kids and photographers of all ages. The goat man wins because of his outfit.

Just one more cake...
Together with the usual suspects I visited the annual "Det stora kafferepet" last weekend. Held at the local historical associations headquarters at Nyble hembygdsgård in Ösmo. Everywhere you looked there were homemade cakes, pasties and what have you. You really have to plan ahead for this event. The cardinal rule is to skip breakfast. We were the first guests to arrive on Sunday morning. Which meant that I could take photos before all the hungry cookie monsters took over the room. We sat outside in the Summer sunshine eating cakes and sipping coffee for around one hour. Chatted away with the chairman Jan Jonsson who informed us that they had 400 cake eating guests the day before.
