Nina had just walked over a zebra crossing in Handen when I spotted her high heels from behind (I was on my bike heading the same way). I asked her if the shoes were tricky to walk in, but apparently not. She was late for work, but had time for a Brenizer method portrait.

How long does it take to shoot a Brenizer style shot Steffe.. As someone who hates having her photo taken, how long would I have to hold that smile ?

That depends Grace. I think I took 12 photos for this portrait. That might take 20 seconds. But if there's a lot happening in the background, cars, buses, people walking by it can take a minute or so.

You'll never see me with shoes like these but I'm startled by your up-front approach to street photography. I would have taken the photo from behind and never spoken to the lady. Your story makes the shot very special: you got this lady's name and a few details about her and now she's no longer anonymous. Congratulations !
