It houses a cafe that is quite popular during the Summer months. Located between the lakes at the Rudan nature reserve. Day 92 in my project 100 Days Of Darkness.
Pizza place at Jägartorp in Västerhaninge. Never eaten there. But I have been inside a few times over the years. This was a print shop back in the mid-1980s. Day 91 in my project 100 Days Of Darkness.
The Lower Lake at Rudan would be a good setting for a horror movie. There's no outdoor lighting here at all so when it gets dark it gets really dark. But if you want to shoot that movie you need to be quick as the municipality are currently busy setting up lampposts around the lake.
Raining. Day 89 in my project 100 Days Of Darkness. The white house at the Rudan nature reserve. Been there for 300 years. It was a farm here for many years before it became a nature reserve.
Swedish word of the day. Äldreboende. Retirement home. Ros-Anders Gård. Named after Gustaf Andersson, who opened one of the first greenhouse nurseries in Tungelsta, on this property back in 1907. Snapped from the hill at Bergdalen where my great grandfather Johan Fredrik Jansson opened his greenhouse nursery the same year. That one is still in operation today, but under a different name, Blomorado. Day 87 in my project 100 Days Of Darkness.
An office building at the Coca-Cola plant in Jordbro. The sugar train arrives at the plant every morning at nine o'clock filled with "sockerbetor" from Skåne. I don't think I have ever shot the train arriving, so I guess I will have to do that one day. Day 85 in my project 100 Days Of Darkness.
Mid-Winter in Sweden. A lone angler fishing from the Horsfjärden bay at Årsta Havsbad just before sunset yesterday. I told him that he probably enjoyed the social side of fishing. He found it very relaxing but hadn't caught any fish on this occasion.
8C as I made my way around the Lower Lake at the Rudan nature reserve. Cherry Blossom in Stockholm on the day that I took this, (two days ago). It sure is an unusual warm Winter this time around.
There used to be a Shell station here but it looks more or less abandoned these days. I have been to a couple of Muscle Car meets here in the last few years.
I used to live in an apartment just 100 meters from this place a few eons ago. I can't remember how many evenings I spent at the then pub Jägaren, today Västerhaninge Kök&bar. Those were the days, (not really). Day 69 in my project 100 Days Of Darkness.
Cycling home earlier in the week I stopped for a photo of the colorful sunset at the new row-houses at Lillgården in Tungelsta. I had the 60mm lens on the Canon 77D body, so I had to shoot it as a panorama. This is twelve photos stitched together.
The new decade started with a colorful sunset. Snapped this from the hill at home. The tree in the photo is 98 years old. Planted by my grandfather back in 1922 on this 20th birthday.
