This took me back a few years. I was never a big fan of Rockpile, or Nick Lowe, but back in the 1980s my favorite pop culture writer was Mats Olsson. He worked for Expressen back then and still does. Anyway, he lived in New York and wrote about sport, music and his life in the big apple and I used to read him while on the bus or train. He was a huge fan of Nick and Rockpile, and he often mentioned them in his writings. I took this photo at the weekly flea market, one or two more to come.

Not really a fan either though I did like Cruel To Be Kind. I love browsing old vinyls, you can find a winner sometimes. I still have a lot of old vinyls that I bought in the 90s and inherited some too. I am so glad to say that vinyl is still very popular over here in Scotland!
It's a good shot of her, hopefully she's happy with her purchase :-D
Mats Olsson’s columns must have really captured that mix of music, city life, and personal connection from the 1980s
Very much so. I read the paper on my way home from work. Olsson still writes, but these days all his columns are sadly behind a paywall.
I'm not familiar with either the writer or the artist, but I enjoyed your reflection.
Nice street photography Stefan.
One of my Flickr contacts saw him at a concert in San Francisco just a few days ago.
The Flea Market is a great source to take people pictures
Why I visit.
I sold all my old vinyl a few years ago. Nice shot.
