The Green Hill

The Green Hill
Raining as I'm typing this. So no new photos today. This is a hill in Österhaninge. I have photographed it before. I sometimes walk up the hill, (a little more to the left than you can see here), because you have a good view over Kalvsvik and Husby from up there. And it's a quiet spot to sit and reflect on life as you eat a light lunch. If you are lucky the local wildlife might walk or fly by.

Patterns in Nature

Patterns in Nature
Thanks to the newish bridge at Krigslida I got this view down on a field at the Nödesta farm earlier in the week. As you can see we are not deep in snow here. I was very pleased with this photo.

Wheat Field

The bridge Standing Tall
A wheat field at the Nödesta Västergård photographed from two different angles on separate days. Always trying to think a bit outside the box. First photo with the Krigslida bridge, shot with the silent zoom lens. Second photo taken with the nifty fifty.

Black and White

After the Harvest Medieval Roof Two photos in black and white. First shows a canola near Kalvsvik after the harvest. Before, it would have looked something like this. In the background you can see the Medieval church in Österhaninge. And up on the roof of that church, a guy from a company called Kyrktak (Church Roof). He is spraying pine tar on the roof.

Searching for Spring

Greenery This tree clad area on a field near Hesslingby in rural Österhaninge is one of the places I will often go back to with the camera. This time I was hoping to see the trees turn green again, but it was too early for that.

The Stable

The Stable
Since the collapse of the old barn, and the removal of the abandoned farm house there are a couple of buildings left at the Nödesta farm that I try to photograph every now and then. This is the little Falu-red painted stable. To see more photos from here try the Nödesta tag.

Life in the Green Lane

Life in the Green Lane

Roe Deer in the middle of a field at Nedersta. Bigger photo. Couldnt get any closer, it was checking my every move. They live in a forest nearby and I often see them here. They sometimes visit my back garden. Last winter, looking for food they were on my veranda, looking in at me in the living room!

Sky over an old barn

Sky over an old barn

Some serious winds here today. Warm and a bit of a blue sky. This is the old barn at Nödesta again. Shot this on my promenade, up to the weekly photo of the old oak. I usually take a few snaps of the surroundings, a few old farms, horses and...well that's it really.
