Out on my eBike at Södermalm in Stockholm, closing in on an area known as Sofia, I stopped at the intersection Erstagatan/Skånegatan to let a few pedestrians cross the street, and while waiting for them to do that I decided to snap a quick photo of the colorful Thai Take Away place that calls itself Thai Kök.
Who doesn't love a hot dog every now and then. If I see a new "korvmoj" as we call these places I will have to try it out. This one has been opened for about one month according to the owner. It is situated on Poseidon's square in Handen. Near the mall, commuter station and the cultural centre so it's probably a very good place to sell some fast food. I bought a hot dog with bread (set me back 15 SEK), and it tasted a bit overcooked.
The first of it's kind in Sweden. In Handen at Nynäsvägen 8. Opened back in 1958. Also the first Hamburger place (1968). I used to come here a few nights every week starting in 1981. We always stopped here on our way back home from a club in Stockholm. All the cab drivers knew where we were going so they would wake us up when we where there! These days I don't eat here that often.
