Fiskfjäll
Detail from the Century old station-house in Tungelsta. The wooden panelling used here is called called Fiskfjäll. The building was designed by the famous architect Ferdinand Boberg. Today there's a handicraft boutique here, but the old train dispatcher still lives in an apartment on the second floor with his wife.

That wood is quite beautiful and certainly different than anything I've seen here. Some of the houses in the Trilogy resort are of wood construction and I asked about that because of the hurricanes and we were told that the wood is rated just as strong as concrete block in terms standing up to a rricanel
I'd love to see the whole building.
That paneling is unusual to my eyes.
Your wish is my command Lowell. Press here to see photos of the station house that I have posted over the years
I love that the building is still being used Steffe.. and that the old train dispatcher and wife get to stay in their home, that's nice!
That wood detailing is beautiful!
