That was quick. On my
last visit to the old tree on October 9 the leaves were still hanging on. Now they are all gone. Not far from the tree I met Tarantino's
favorite actress. She was out walking and we talked for a while about the now cancelled plans to build a National harness racing track arena here. Christina told me that one of her neighbors had met an inspector from the horse track company, who had explained to him that this area was too small for such a big project. So hurrah for that!
belle photo de cet arbre, seul et vieux.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful find and beautifully done image ....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Steffe! Already bare.
ReplyDeleteAh, the tree sighs with relief, but she looks so vulnerable without her foliage.
ReplyDeletecool, i like the tree project... :)
ReplyDeleteNow, where have I seen this tree before?
ReplyDeleteThat's good news! I would have missed "that old tree".
ReplyDeleteGlad the tree is safe from development. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteI love that tree, next time when I am in Sweden I am going to bring it a visit!!
ReplyDeleteLove that tree . .clothed or bare. . .
ReplyDeleteWould this tree have gone if the plans had gone ahead? They are too precious to be lost.
ReplyDeleteI love your "tree series" in different seasons. very cool
ReplyDeleteI think it would have been history Gerald. I'm guessing just the parking lot they would have needed would have been enough to totally destroy this rural part of Tungelsta. I guess I should have gone back to the old tree this morning, because we had the first snow fall of the season this morning!
ReplyDeleteLove that old tree. Our old tree, which looks eerily like this one, still has its leaves. Heh, heh. Won't lose them over the winter, either...
ReplyDeleteBut it may be chopped down in the years ahead...or at the least, it will be surrounded by houses.
Great, always enjoy your "Tree" photos.
ReplyDeleteA horse track may ruins this whole project: I'm glad they can't do it!
ReplyDeletei like such portrets. not only tree is important, but that road as well
