The White Forest
It is a bit chilly as I'm typing this. -20C outside at the moment. It was a few degrees warmer yesterday when i took this photo while trekking through deep snow in a forest at Välsta in Tungelsta.
It is so difficult to imagine temperatures like that, where it never drops below 4 degrees here in the city, but does go below zero in the outer suburbs, but rarely. I guess everything in your country is set up to deal with such temperatures.
That must have been a big storm with some heavy wet snow. I don't even remember the snow clinging to trees when I lived in Alaska. Snow there was light and fluffy but the temps were frigid. Here, it usually feels like spring to me.

ReplyDeleteIt must have been some storm. The snow is clinging to everything.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long it'll take before the snow drops off of its own accord.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen snow stick to the trunks of trees like that! It was -13˚C here this morning but is now a balmy -6.

ReplyDeleteA scene like this would be rare here. We get some snow but not that much, and it doesn't usually last long.
