Found this vintage moped parked outside a grocery store in Västerhaninge yesterday. It's a 1957 Husqvarna Roulette. Designed by Sixten Sason. A real monster at 0.8 hp. Came with two or three speeds. Cost 790SEK back in 1957. Today owned by
Leffe whom you have met on the blog a few times. He normally rides a
Harley.
Quite a difference from a Harley!
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten all about the moped. They used to be popular here in the 1960s.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful find. Looks almost electric bikes I've been seeing recently.
ReplyDeleteI want that! My dad had one years ago.
ReplyDeleteI once owned a Husqvarna, but it was a rifle...
ReplyDeleteMy 'Husky' chainsaw and I were tackling a huge fallen apple tree branch this morning. Love the husky.
ReplyDeleteI remember I had such a motorcycle when in the sixties, we called it a Mobylette!
