The Northern Lights

Aurora Borealis
I have to confess to not knowing what I was doing. Closing in on Midnight we could see the Northern Light at home. So I took the wide angle lens with me and tried a few different settings from a few different places at Bergdalen. I wasn't all that happy with the result. But it was an unusual feeling sitting on the top of the hill seeing it for the first time.

  8. I think you did a very good job capturing them. I would only suggest a slight rotation to make the house straight and perhaps bump the vibrance up to make that green really pop but otherwise-- congratulations! I went out and checked.. took a few pics hugging a post without a tripod and got pics but blurry - then got a tripod and they were gone.. just a bit of green mist - so you did a really good job! :-) Maggie

  12. Still, a tremendous experience. We will be as far north as Fairbanks, Alaska, in August. Maybe we will have a chance.

  15. I've been hearing about the spectacular Northern Lights show on the 17th. I even have a friend who is traveling in the Faroe Islands right now and she saw them for the very first time in her life. It must have been a wonderful sight.
