Walking out on the clear ice (roughly one decimetre thick), at Lower Lake Rudan in Handen I met Åke Bäckman from Jordbro. He was ice fishing, been sitting there for fifteen minutes when I arrived. No luck so far for the ice fisher, but we agreed that it was a good day, both for ice fishing and Winter photography, with a blue sky and a bit of sunshine to warm you up.
Rather him than me, My A**e would be twitching
ReplyDeleteMarvelous shots. Love the reflection in the second one!

I've done that when young. Never much liked it. Minnesota winters are too darn cold! If I want fish I'll buy it at the grocery store like god intended!
ReplyDeleteThis god you speak of, some sort of fishmonger perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI like the reflecting face.
ReplyDeleteThese are great Steffe!
ReplyDeleteWhat a face. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteThose ice fishermen are a hardy bunch.
ReplyDeleteThe ice is so clear, the ice here is more of a milky white.
ReplyDeleteCool shots of a nice looking old man. I'd love to try it but I'd fall about 25 times before I got anywhere near the middle of the lake.
ReplyDeleteA strong portrait shot, really brings out his character.
ReplyDeleteUsually they use a hut out on the ice here with the hole inside and a lot of beer available!
ReplyDeleteWonderful portrait and a nice reflection too. The light is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSteffe, your first portrait photo is superb! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great portrait - he looks like a character. I love the reflection, very cool.
ReplyDeleteI believe these fishermen must have a lot of patience...
ReplyDeleteFirst portrait of the new year Steffe, nice one!
ReplyDeleteVery clever reflection shot. Well done, Stefe.
ReplyDeleteNice reflection image. Hope he has good luck.
ReplyDeleteWonderful portrait. You can tell this guy is happy to be where he is.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this only in documentaries and movies...
