The Ice Fisher

The Ice Fisher Ice Fishing
Walking out on the clear ice (roughly one decimetre thick), at Lower Lake Rudan in Handen I met Åke Bäckman from Jordbro. He was ice fishing, been sitting there for fifteen minutes when I arrived. No luck so far for the ice fisher, but we agreed that it was a good day, both for ice fishing and Winter photography, with a blue sky and a bit of sunshine to warm you up.

  3. I've done that when young. Never much liked it. Minnesota winters are too darn cold! If I want fish I'll buy it at the grocery store like god intended!

  4. This god you speak of, some sort of fishmonger perhaps?

  9. The ice is so clear, the ice here is more of a milky white.

  10. Cool shots of a nice looking old man. I'd love to try it but I'd fall about 25 times before I got anywhere near the middle of the lake.

  12. Usually they use a hut out on the ice here with the hole inside and a lot of beer available!
