Looks like the cold-spell is over for now. We had -22 C last night. On my visit to the old tree on Saturday it was a bit milder, around -11C. The people out riding here are probably from the Mulsta farm. I was hoping that they would ride past me, but they turned around just before the tree.
Very cool! In more ways than one. That ol' tree makes a lovely photo laden, as it is, with snow. And there is something elegant and poignant about the group and the horses. A fine post, Steffe!
ReplyDeleteThat old tree looks fabulous dressed in it's white coat Steffe and btw I can honestly say that's the first time I've heard -11 described as mild haha!
ReplyDeleteGood to see the tree again. It's still there!
ReplyDeletethese are both beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh to be young and go riding in the snow once again! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI always look forwar to the pictures of that old tree. Certainly looks grand today.
ReplyDeleteIt is good seeing the tree again. You need to go there with a chain saw sometime, to get rid of that handing limb.
ReplyDeleteLove the old tree, hope it survives that weight of snow.
ReplyDeleteSomebody told me about your old tree.. so I'm glad to see it for myself. What a story that could tell now, I'm sure.
ReplyDelete-22!!! This reminds of the last episode of BBC's 'Frozen Planet' I watched yesterday. Gorgeous shots, Steffe!
