I took the autumn half of this diptych in early October. The only reason for taking the photo of the tree in Handen was to make a diptych when the first snow came, so here it is. We haven't had any more snow, and from this afternoon it is said to be warmer. The forecast for Monday is a weird one. We can expect something like 10C, that sounds more like spring than mid winter.
Very nice.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful effect. And the mild weather is strange- here too.
ReplyDeleteYou are a master and weaving two photos together.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your warm weather while it lasts.
ReplyDeleteWe were just talking about your dyptich photographs with Julie's mother the other evening. It is timely that you have posted another, so I can tell her to be sure to check your site today.
Perfect match up Steffe, what an amazing contrast. I did have a chuckle when you said 10C is like a Spring day, for us here in Perth that would be like in the middle of Winter!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy these combined photos very much. A little gift you give to all who inter here.
ReplyDeleteje prendrais le haut de l'automne et le bas de l'hiver
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice contrast. You've combined the two photos perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI love your dyptichs - and around 5C would be normal here but we too are having 11C or 10C this week. I haven't had the heating on today at all, nor yesterday. Christmas day looks to be warm. My family are joking about eating outside!
ReplyDeleteThis is very cool! Inspiring!
ReplyDeleteYour diptychs are always so interesting, Steffe.

ReplyDeleteTalking to my father in central Canada a couple of days ago, he mentioned that they had no snow. Both of us remember bitterly cold winters 30 to 40 years ago. Now they seem to be the rare exception.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....
Such a contrast. Fabulous image Steffe.
