A new law will go into effect in Haninge tomorrow. If you want to have a firework display, you must now have a permission from the police. There are two exceptions. On New Years Eve, and on Walpurgis Night you don't need the permit. If you break the law you could be fined.
Does this mean we will see some sparkling photos on January 1st?
ReplyDeleteDo the fireworks work well in the cold temperatures?
It's the same also here Steffe, i think there have been too many accidents in the past with fireworks. Hope you have a very happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteNobody is permitted to shoot off fireworks over here where we live. You can be fined too.
ReplyDeleteSame here in the UK,though I think there's far fewer fireworks because of the cost rather than the law. Happy New Year Steffe!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a couple of minutes but I finally understood the Swedish word. Doh!, as Homer says.
ReplyDeleteFireworks are rarely if ever allowed in urban and suburban America (rural areas are a different matter) although my brother, brother-in-law and assorted friends once made a serious to burn down my sister's house in New Jersey with a few shopping bags of fireworks bought illegally in the Chinatown district of NYC.
Celebrate tonight, Steffe, but stay safe. Good health and good cheer for 2012!
ReplyDeleteJust STRANGE! BANG!
