Autumn Me

November

No blue sky for a while now. I tend to prefer a blue sky over a grey one. Which is to say that I haven't been out shooting very much lately. But one good thing is that it has been very warm the last few weeks. At least compared to the last few years. I shot this self portrait at home a few days ago. These leaves will not be removed from the lawn. And I promise to shoot another self-portrait here when the snow arrives...

  1. with all the portraits you do of others, i like that you throw a self-portrait in every now and then.

  2. Ah-ha! A person version of your tree.

I bet this took a bit of setting up. And you did not nick yourself shaving. Always good to know.

  3. I like the blue jacket/shirt/ with the pink zipper.

It is a good looking photographer laying down on the leaves. Nice shot.

  4. '...when the snow arrives"...a foreboding comment. Perhaps we can see one of you as a snow angel??

  5. The setting up took about a minute from idea to result. From the window where I'm typing this I looked down at the lawn and figured that would make a nice self-portrait. Thirty seconds later I was lying on the lawn and I took five or six photos. Two minutes after that the photo was posted on flickr.

I will give that a go Kate!

  10. What? You didn't interview this guy? What are his hobbies? What is he going to do with his life when he grows up? Is he going to grow up?
