Up the Spiral!

Up the Spiral

Down The Spiral

This futuristic looking green spiral is the passageway to and from the popular recreational area Lake Rudan in Handen. If you walk or bike up the spiral from here you will get to the commuter station (you can see part of the rail-track and platform on the second photo). If you continue past that entrance and walk through the green tunnel and climb up the stairs, you will find yourself at Rudsjöterrassen, where you can lunch at City Hall, where the lovely Nina works.

I should say that these two photos are from my flickr archive. Thanks for asking Jacob.

It's the first of the month and theme day, the theme for March is Passageway.

  1. This is a wonderful theme day post. And I like this "passageway" a lot! What happened to all the snow?

  9. Oooooo, not just ANY passageway, but a curly one, that we can see through as we go! Now that's cool! Great find and very unique for theme day. Yay Steffe!

PS- Reminds me of a curvy version of the modern art museum in Paris' escalator tubes.

  12. I think I can hear the sound of the skateboarders who must zoom down this curving ramp.

  13. Futuristic, is a good word to use here.
I think going all the way to the place Nina works, sounded as a good idea...

  15. This shot definitely wasn't taken recently. One would get a lot of exercise just getting to the other side.

  22. A unusual choice and a very interesting construction. We have something similar to an open version of this but it is used as water toboggan on the beach.

  23. I wish some of the over bridges here were built as tastefully as this
