I know that I perhaps shouldn't post too many photos of the old tree, but I have to show you this one. As it has been a long and cold winter we have seen a few days with
hard rime over the last week. The Swedish word for that weather phenomenon is Rimfrost which I find a bit more poetic. Anyway, you will have to agree with me that the old tree does look a bit different from just
last week.
c'est magnifique, une gravure
ReplyDeleteLike a beautiful old woman in her lace shawl.
ReplyDeleteI think Brattcat said it best!
ReplyDelete....and I think the same!:-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
I suppose Rimefrost is similar to our hoar frost. It makes things pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks to your link, I now know the differences in frozen water droplets. Although I am getting very tired of cold weather and snow and ice, I think the tree is extraordinarily beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnother picture postcard shot! Love it.
ReplyDeleteQuite a difference indeed! Glad you posted both.
ReplyDeleteRimfrost is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBundled up with snow for a cover, the old tree is a beauty even when she wears nothing.
ReplyDeleteSo many different looks to this old tree. Don't worry Steffe, we aren't tired of it yet.
ReplyDeleteYou could post a picture of this old tree every day and I wouldn't mind! This one is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
As Olivier mentioned: it looks like an etching. Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks all. I'm glad I did walk that way when I did because all the Rimfrost is gone now.
ReplyDeleteThe wonder of winter is how we always find it such a surprise.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! what a beautiful winter wonderland photos. I like your photography, very stunning. Great job!
