Saint Erik. Erik den helige. King of Sweden from 1156 to his death four years later. The patron saint of Stockholm. His crowned face are on all the Stockholm flags. Mural by the artist Ola Rydberg. On it, you can see City Hall. Mariaberget. The Katarina Elevator and the Stomatol sign. Places I have shown you many times here on the blog. You can find the mural at the little park Tunnelbacken on Södermalm.
As far as I'm concerned, more doors should be painted like this.
ReplyDeleteThe people living in the apartments here got tired of the graffiti on the doors so they asked the artist to paint it a few years ago, and that fixed it.
