The first ever convenience store in Tungelsta was located at my great-grandfathers greenhouse nursery, of all places. Built 120 years ago, give or take. A few years later, a larger Coop store was built across the road, in this building at Södertäljevägen 15. It was run by kooperativa handelsföreningen. It lasted a little longer until a "real" store was built near the train station. In the Gröna Huset building. Since then this has been a private home. I snapped this photo a few evenings ago on my way home from the "återvinningscentral".
Happy it is still around and is of use. There are a few places like that in my hometown that have served many uses.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. Glowing lights inside are cool :-D
ReplyDeleteA wonderful time of day for a pic.
ReplyDeleteAnother good one. And I like how the curtains aren't closed. When I was a child, in the town where I live now (sigh - Texas) that was the case. Now, even in the daytime, houses closed off, no one can see inside. It makes me sad.
