Weird story of the Summer

Weird story of the Summer
Cleaning the bathroom, I noticed what looked like soil behind the toilet. So I removed it. A week later, there was more of it. So I removed it, thinking there's an issue with the sewage that I should fix, so I did that. A week later, more soil. So I opened the lid on the backside of the Ifö toilet and tried my best to clean out that space using the shower hose that just reached there. A week later, same story. And then like a week or so ago this popped out when I did my now weekly cleaning. A dried out wasp nest, a bit unexpected.

  1. Lucky for you that the residents have since moved out.

  2. I might be in the minority here but I really like wasps. Fascinating little things and their nests are intricate. We had one outside our window one summer and I just let it be. I watched it and it was interesting between them and the spiders haha! Problem solved eh!

  3. No wonder the “mystery soil” kept coming back, a hidden wasp nest explains it perfectly

  4. And you never saw any flying around? That IS weird.

    1. Oh, yes I did both inside the house, and outside, but that is of course normal, as soon as you open a window any insect can fly in.

  5. Aha. We don't live well without window screens here. Lots more bugs. Lots. Now I can see how you missed any signs you were providing a home.
