Workers from Svenska Undervattensentreprenader AB busy renovating the bridge to Skeppsholmen. Land rise and lower water levels have exposed parts of the bridge that used to be underwater. So now divers are fixing that, laying concrete underwater The work they are doing will hold everything together for at least another century.
That kind of contraptions are also not unknown here in the Amsterdam canals Stefan.
ReplyDeleteNot the kind of job I would like to do but I could watch the divers for hours.
ReplyDeleteEn una ciudad con tanta agua no deben ser unos trabajos inusuales
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting job those workers are performing.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in a town on the Mississippi River, I used to see these kinds of workers quite often. I often thought how cold that water must be this time of year.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem to be the warmest time of year to be working underwater. Brrr.
ReplyDeleteThis old infrastructure is much better built than the modern architecture

ReplyDeleteAmazing. Ingenuity. Human beings can do so well at some projects, so badly at others.
