A very typical barbershop. When I worked on Södermalm I used to go to a barber not far from here. It was a place along Folkungagatan, called Kalufsen, which is a nickname of your hairstyle. The first time I went there I had very long blond hair. Those were the days!
I used to have very long, blonde hair too....back in the day! Now it's short and more gray than blonde. I see Elvis up above the door of this shop!
ReplyDeleteBarber shops make for good photos. There are so many trendy ones now but the old traditional ones are more interesting.
ReplyDeleteYou were a hippie with long blonde hair? This is a fun fact to learn today :)
ReplyDeleteHere is a collage from 1985. Five photos of me in it. I am the guy posing with the Greek girl.

It has been a long time since I was in one.
ReplyDeleteWell, weren't you a cutie in '85. Still, it doesn't look like your haircut is what I read in the google translation - "the cowl.' So I suspect "the cowl" was earlier.
ReplyDeleteThe name means pretty much any hairdo/style. The barber was a real charachter, a few years older than me. He was from this area, which you heard as soon as he started talking. I came to his place every six week or so. A few of my then friends also came there.
